What is it like living next door to a foreclosed home in disrepair?

Written on December 21, 2009

I’m working on a project for my job about foreclosed properties that are often abandoned and left vacant for long periods of time. I would love to talk with / hear from someone who lives in a neighborhood or street with a foreclosed home – especially one in bad shape. What is that like? Does it bother you?

Jees there are like 3 on this block. Luckily the bank has at least been maintaing the one next door. But we would occasionally cut the grass ourselves, Obviously the neighborhood is darker with the absence of light in those houses. But i think the houses bring unwanted people around. People from the bank taking pictures, people looking to buying the house, thieves. Bugs…etc
