What do you think about buying a foreclosed home?

i dont know much about them but i am moving out of my parents and my cousin found a foreclosed home for 25,000 for me. can they be rent to own? also, my cousin says that the rent for this home is 200 a month. thts why i am asking. are there any catches to purchasing one? thanks..
