What are Michigan’s eviction laws for people renting a foreclosed home?
Written on March 25, 2010
I have rented this home for 5 years. Yesterday Coldwell Banker came to my house and told me that my landlord has been foreclosed on and that I have 7 days to get out. I knew nothing of this prior to yesterday so I have no plan for what to do. Michigan winter is harsh and I have three kids that I don’t want homeless this time of year. Do I have any rights here? Can they legally put us out on the street when it is this cold outside?
